The Parent's Song
I see you as the child you are now,
And I can see what you will become as you yield to Me, My little one.
Oh, how I love you through the hard times, the growing times
When you think I am so far away.
I'd never leave you for an instant.
I always see you;
turning, moving, breathing, and I delight in every nuance of you.
You are My child, and I can see what you will be in a very short while.
Time moves like a breath of wind in this sphere
And it is speeding to its conclusion.
You are being drawn with it, and you hardly know the way in which it is leading.
Soon you will be grown, and you'll know Me in a new way -
Eye to eye and face to face.
You shall know, even as you are known.
Child, it is a worthy goal.
So, I watch over you and smile.
I watch you play, I watch you work. It is My delight.
I will guard you through this night.
My hand will never leave the cradle of your life.
And I will sing over you a lullaby,
My love song.
I need you to believe every word.
Oh, child of Mine,
If you only knew all that I have laid up for you,
I doubt that you would fret as much, I really do.
You need to believe. Put your trust where it has to be,
And don't allow your future to be colored by the failures in your past.
Don't remember the wounds, child,
They were not from Me.
Don't let them hinder your path as you run to Me.
You are safe here in My arms.
Oh child, how I love thee. Little one, how I adore thee!
The ruins of this life, all the monsters and the scary dreams
Will disappear in
The daylight of My coming.
